MY CHALLENGE

Over the years, our union has been bastardized by self-serving so-called leaders who only protect their pockets to the detriment of You & I .
Over the years, our interests have been negotiated by people we elected to protect it but instead they decided to mortgage our future for their own betterment.
Over the years . . .
These acts have made students loose interest in the activities of the central student body LASUSU because they feel there is a DIS-connect between “our leaders and us”. There is this believe that LASUSU consists of nothing but the SAME OF THE SAME. This is MY CHALLENGE.
Some campuses have even threatened to pull out of LASUSU. Some other students have simply decided that they wouldn’t vote for nobody but we forget that-
You don’t demolish your house simply because bed bugs are on rampage
Neither should you chop off a head over a severe headache.
Fellow Lasuites, I wouldn’t bore you with rhetoric nor would I deceive you. Rather, I would make just one promise, “ours shall be a good governance based on the ideology of ‘FOR US BY US’-FUBU

MY STAND!

Politics for me is an act of selfless service to my fellow Lasuites who remain the most versatile individuals in sub-sahara africa.
Let me assure you that I can never and will never play pranks with the welfare of you my colleagues especially at a time when we are being faced with the menace(strike) which has kept us at home for weeks.
As for me, this is not the best time to play politics with the welfare of Lasuites but rather we coming together to forge a better future for ourselves and Lasuites to come.
In the past i have been confronted with challenges of people who claim I dont embrace the stakeholders but for me every Lasuite is a stakeholder in as much as you are a matriculated  student. I stand bold to say this without fear of favour because where Lasuites stand is where i stand!
Lasu oni daru o! LAI LAI
